Margaret had another weight check today...we've been going about two times in between well visits to check in on her progress and make sure she isn't falling too far behind. Her actual weight is still disapointing to me, but the nurse practitioner was thrilled with her progress. Just three days away from turning 6 months old, Margaret weighs 12 pounds and 12 ounces.
The math behind her weight is significant: she gained 29 ounces in 33 days, which is just about on par for the ounce a day goal the doctor's have set for her and she jumped a whole percentile point on the growth chart (now in the 4th percentile)! Wahoo!
Julia also got a quick weigh in and tipped the scales at 13 pounds, 10 ounces. That doesn't seem like much more, but it puts her somewhere in between the 5th and 10th percentiles. Good progress as well.
So, everyone is very pleased with how they are growing, even though they're much smaller than their peers. We'll get there one day, folks! Just look how far we've come...
