Halloween 2016

We finished out October with lots of Halloween fun. We trick-or-treated at CCV and Daddy's office and enjoyed the costume parade at Collegiate and a Halloween party in our street. And of course, we trick-or-treated on the big night: Halloween!
At CCV with Kate and Dabney...everyone is looking at Margaret, who is supposed to be in the picture!

This was our first run in our costumes!

Summer Picture Post

I can hardly believe it, but the summer is quickly coming to an end! All three girls start school next week, Caroline in second grade and the twins in JK. While we are all ready for school to start, this summer has been our best yet, so it is a bittersweet time. The girls have grown so much closer over the summer, and I know they will miss the hours and hours of make-believe play time they enjoyed together,  the long days spent at the pool, and lots of other fun times with friends and family when next week rolls around.
Caroline was a Devilfish on the swim team. She did an awesome job and had a great time swimming with her friends!
Caroline's best strokes were freestyle and butterfly.
Caroline and Mommy at the swim team banquet.

Vacation Bible School at our church was a big hit! The theme was Superheroes of the bible!

Caroline got a woodworking kit. Each girl got to build a fun craft.
Caroline and our adorable neighbor, Georgia.
We planted a pretty successful garden in the back yard! Here's some watermelon we harvested.
Another fun camp the girls did was Camp Ladybug! This was princess day.
More bounty from the garden! We made about 1million loaves of zucchini bread this summer.
Our annual summer trip to the zoo was a success!
Per usual, the giraffes were a bit hit.
Photo bombed by a giraffe!
After finishing Caroline's summer reading book, The BFG, the girls were excited to see the movie (despite the looks on the twins' faces!)
Caroline took a lot of walks with me this summer after my morning runs. It was a really special time for us to spend together before the days got started.
Our annual summer trip to Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens.
