Another fantastic Halloween is in the books for the Hepper crew! Thankfully, Hurricane Sandy only brought a lot of rainfall to Richmond, and the weather cleared up just in time for a chilly but sunny Halloween day. We did have two Halloween parties get cancelled in the midst of the storm on Sunday and Monday, but I'm okay with that because I am
exhausted today and I can't imagine how much more tired I would be had those festivities gone on as planned!
We started off the day on an exciting note because the Great Pumpkin (aka Mommy) made it's first ever trip to the Hepper household. The girls woke up to find a note and a pumpkin full of treats! Then we all headed off to school to participate in FPP's Halloween parade. After school, we had rest time and watched the movie the Great Pumpkin brought (smart cookie, that Great Pumpkin), carved our pumpkins, and then got dressed for the main event. At 6pm sharp, we headed out the door and across the street to our annual Halloween block party, and then scored some major loot trick-or-treating around the neighborhood. A good time was had by all!
My only disappointment this year was that I didn't get any group pictures of the girls in their costumes. It was too cold for the twins to wear their costumes without coats, and Caroline was too excited to sit still for one second, let alone long enough for a picture to be taken. Oh well...I'm sure no one would have been looking at the camera anyways!

I took a peek into the twins' classroom after the parade. I found the girls doing exactly what they would have been doing at home: Margaret was snuggled up with one of her teachers, reading a book, and Julia had just stolen a toy from another child and was laying on top of it to prevent anyone else from taking it. Sad, but true!

While the big kids were trick-or-treating, Julia and Margaret passed the time by eating...and hunting for candy...
