YAY! I finally got video to post for me again! I've been having trouble for a couple weeks now. Here's Caroline on the slide at the children's museum last week.

Happy "Blogiversary" to Me!

It's hard to believe it, but today marks the one year birthday of "Sugarboo"! If I had realized it earlier in the day, I just might have had some cake in celebration :)
I'm quite proud of myself for making it this long and I have no plans of stopping any time soon! Thanks to all you followers out there for staying tuned to watch Caroline grow and change. Here's to many more blog posts! :)
Darden Reunion!
This past weekend we hosted the first (of many, I hope!) Darden reunion here in Richmond. The Bucklers, Phillips, Rayborns, Eklunds, and Garretts came together from all over to visit and catch up with each other. On Saturday we enjoyed a delicious breakfast at the Garrett's house, a visit to Maymont and its petting zoo, lunch and chill time at our house and then dinner out at Azzurros. We then capped off the evening by sending the boys to a sports bar while the girls returned to our house for a little wine and dessert :)
On Sunday morning we had brunch at our house and celebrated Mike's birthday with a yummy cake. More time hanging out and then it was time for our guests to depart. The weekend was perfect: excellent weather, fabulous friends, and great food!

Caroline had a great time visiting with her adoring fans.

Even though it was the weekend, the boys' Blackberries were never far from their hands.

What a great couple we make!!

CMoR Visit with Daddy
We were blessed to have another work-free weekend with Daddy! On Sunday we went to the children's museum so Caroline could show Daddy all the fun things she's been doing during her visits. First on the list: the slide! We also explored the farm exhibit, the outdoor area, and the little town exhibit.

Daddy thought this exhibit was WAY cooler than I did! I was ready to leave, but he couldn't stop playing!

Block Baby
A few weeks ago, I bought Caroline a bag of jumbo sized "Lego" blocks. She didn't show any interest in them at the time, but now she's changed her tune. I brought them out again at the beginning of this week, and they've been a hit! Here's a video of her building. She's gotten much better at connecting the blocks correctly since then!

Super Slider!
Caroline loves slides!! Although she's still too young for most of the slides we encounter, we do occasionally find a slide that's just her size. The children's museum has a couple of these slides and Caroline has made excellent use out of them.
Today we spent about 20 minutes repeating the process depicted below...
First, I climb the stairs...

...then I go through the tunnel.

Once I reach the end of the tunnel, it's time to slide!!

And then we're off to do it all again!

Happy Birthday to Holly and Annie!
Two of Mommy's favorite Richmond friends, Annie and Holly, celebrated birthdays yesterday! We went to Bottoms Up for pizza, adult beverages, and a great time. All the daddies were able to join us as well, making it an especially good evening. Caroline visited with her friends Hailey, Caroline, and baby Emmy, explored the restaurant with Daddy, and best of all, enjoyed some birthday cake! I'm pretty sure she has a sweet tooth like her Mommy...
