Out on the Town!
Now that the daytime nausea has subsided and I feel like I want to die only in the evenings :), Caroline and I have been able to get out and be social again. Today we went to the Children's Museum and Caroline wasted no time reacquainting herself with her favorite attraction: the slide. As you can see, the child has no fear of speed :)

Member Monday
Today was another Member Monday at the children's museum, which means reduced crowds and free snacks and coffee! Caroline and I joined our friends Mary Michael, big Caroline, and Hailey for a fun morning full of exploration. Caroline spent a lot of time in the "town" area of the museum today, playing in the school house, grocery store, and car repair shop. She sported her Jack-o-lantern dress for what seems like the thousandth time - it's our last week to wear it!!

CMoR Visit with Daddy
We were blessed to have another work-free weekend with Daddy! On Sunday we went to the children's museum so Caroline could show Daddy all the fun things she's been doing during her visits. First on the list: the slide! We also explored the farm exhibit, the outdoor area, and the little town exhibit.

Daddy thought this exhibit was WAY cooler than I did! I was ready to leave, but he couldn't stop playing!

No Rainy Day Blues Here!
With another rainy day on the horizon, we decided to go to the children's museum again, but this time we went to the Short Pump location. It was our first time and we had a blast! Our friends Hailey and (big) Caroline (and their mommies) joined us for the outing.
Caroline moved from the "sand" pit to the play ship to the whale ride-on toy, and finally decided that she had to go for a ride on the train. I was concerned that she might be scared of it, especially because it's pretty loud, but Caroline showed no signs of fear. She climbed right on, grabbed the handle bars in her car, and bounced up and down in anticipation of the ride. Once we got going, Caroline had an even better time, giggling, bouncing and even waving to the onlookers. When the ride was over, it took some convincing to get Caroline to relinquish her car to the next group of eager riders. I think it's safe to say we'll have to return for another visit!
After the museum, we headed over to (big) Caroline's house for a yummy banana pudding pie snack and some more playtime. And as if that wasn't enough fun for us girls, after we went home for naps (one for Caroline, one for Mommy), we headed over to Hailey's house for our playgroup!
We had such a nice day that we didn't mind the rain at all! Caroline is lucky to have great friends who have great mommies too! It's a win-win for everyone :)

Rainy Day Visit to CMoR
We hit up the Children's Museum this morning because our good friends Hailey, Caroline, and Mary Michael (and their mommies) were meeting us there for some indoor play time since it's (finally) raining here in Richmond. All the girls had a great time in the art studio, and the farm and dinosaur dig exhibits. Caroline especially enjoyed going down the slide and giving kisses to the rooster in the farm exhibit.
After some hard play, we all decided we needed a snack. And that's when I discovered a great perk of being a member of CMoR: on "Member Mondays" you get free snacks and Starbucks coffee!! Yum! Here's a pic of the girls chowing down and some others of Caroline at play...

Visit to CMOR
Today we took a late afternoon trip to the Children's Museum of Richmond, or C-MOR. It is such a fantastic way to spend an hour or two, is less than 10 minutes away from our house, and Caroline has a blast every time we go. As usual, we spent most of our time in the "Little Farm" exhibit, but today we also visited the dinosaur excavation exhibit, and the outdoor James River exploration area. Caroline enjoyed her visit, but was a little upset that Mommy wouldn't let her take home a "Seymour" the dinosaur from the museum gift shop. Luckily, we went straight from the museum to her Little Gym class, so she wasn't upset for long!

A Play Date at the Children's Museum
Caroline and I met our new Richmond friends Holly (the Mommy) and Hailey (the baby) at the Children's Museum of Richmond today for a play date. There were tons of exhibits to explore, but we spent the majority of our time in the "Little Farm" exhibit, which was designed for toddlers. Caroline and Hailey had a really good time playing in the vegetable patch, climbing into the farm truck, and checking out all the other fun things to do within the exhibit while the mommies had a good time having some adult conversation!
