April Washington D.C. Trip

Caroline was SO nervous that we would miss our train to DC and that our bags would weigh too much. Thankfully, her suitcase clocked at just 6.5 lbs.

The crazy train leaving the station!

Amazing ceiling at Union Station in D.C.

Our friendly bellhop giving the girls maps of D.C.

First stop: the Washington Monument

So tall!

Next stop: the World War II Memorial.

The Lincoln Memorial

Last stop for the day: ice cream!

It was a gorgeous day to see the National Mall and some of the monuments.

We didn't see the cherry blossoms, but we did take a picture in front of this sign!

Julia and a whale at the National Museum of Natural History

Julia and a lion

Old Ebbitt's Grill for lunch was a hit!

This was as close as we could get to the White House...

...but the White House Visitors Center did not disappoint! It was my favorite place we visited. Caroline loved this interactive map of the inside of the White House.
All aboard! Time to head back to RVA!
