Caroline's 6th Birthday Party!

Caroline requested a bowling party to celebrate her 6th birthday, and we were happy to oblige! She spent a couple hours this past Saturday with a group of buddies at Sunset Lanes, and everyone had a blast. The girls bowled, ate pizza and cake, and then finished off the party with an impromptu dance session.

Caroline was the most she has ever been excited for a birthday to arrive. Turning 6 was a very big deal for her. She woke up at 4:44am ready to get her big day started with the special breakfast she had requested well in advance: breakfast casserole and fruit salad. Next came present opening, then her party, and then we arrived home and had a fun birthday playdate with cousins Will, Claire, and Catherine. Finally it was time for the birthday dinner (also requested in advance): hamburgers, hot dogs, and corn and one last round of present opening. We put one very tired 6 year old to bed early afterwards. It had been a wonderful, but long day!!

Margaret was not at all interested in bowling. She was much more interested in the food at the party.

...and so were all the gifts!!!
