Spring Break At Snowshoe

Last week we took off for Snowshoe with the Benjamin Family to go skiing at Snowshoe Mountain in West Virginia. The girls had never been skiing before, so we were a little nervous to see how things would go.
Luckily, Caroline took amazingly well to the slopes (she skied straight blue slopes by the 3rd day!), and Julia and Margaret really enjoyed their mini ski lessons in Pre-Ski School (Julia more so than Margaret, being the snow loving girl that she is!).
Paul and I had a blast remembering what it's like to enjoy an experience without kids together (Caroline spent her days in ski school and the twins were in pre-ski school all day), and going on vacation with the Benjamin family was a ton of fun.
The only downer of the trip was Paul departing with a broken thumb; the result of a couple of bad falls on his last day. Thankfully, it was nothing Dr. Tate couldn't fix for him when we returned! :)

First up, two videos. The first one is of Caroline skiing on a bunny slope. She was a natural!
The second video is of Julia tubing. She was a speed demon on the tubing hill. She couldn't get enough and was so sad when it was time to leave the hill.

We got our vacation started off right - with a party! These kiddos got a little wacky!
This silly girl was so excited to be on vacation.

Heading back to our condo after a successful dinner party.

Julia and Margaret sharing a bed with balloons??! This did not end well.

Day one of ski school.
Big C and Little C ready to hit the slopes!
Me and Paul on a lift, excited to be alone and on an adventure!
The gorgeous afternoon view from our condo
More party time apres ski ;-)
Amazing sunset view
Margaret ready to go tubing.
Daddy and Julia flying down the tubing hill.
We ran into some more friends on the tubing hill!
Julia's favorite activity at Snowshoe was, without a doubt, tubing.

Two little ski bunnies
Caroline on the ski lift.
Caroline on the slopes
Julia enjoyed the outdoor slide at the pool - it was a little too chilly out there for me!
Margaret also preferred to stay indoors :)

Caroline acted like it was summer!
