Our weekend was busy with activities and friends! On Saturday morning, we attended the Little Siblings class at St Mary's hospital with our friends, the Kinards. While the class itself was pretty pointless in terms of what Caroline actually learned, it was fun to see her feed, swaddle, and diaper her baby. She did a pretty decent job at each task and hopefully she'll be a big help when the twins arrive. We also visited the nursery, which was my favorite part. There was actually a set of twins inside, and I so enjoyed getting a preview of what our little ones might look like when they arrive!
On Saturday evening, we drove to Charlottesville to meet our Darden crew for a reunion dinner. We had such a nice time catching up with our old friends, and Caroline impressed everyone with her running and jumping skills. My only complaint for the evening was that it was too short and I didn't get to spend enough time with my Darden gals.
Luckily for me, we had another chance to hang out with some of the Darden crew last evening. The Garretts and the Rayborns headed over to our place for a BBQ. It was so nice to spend a little extra time with some of the larger group. Caroline loved having her friends Clarke and Madeleine over to play and did a better than average job of sharing her toys - although she still has a looong way to go on this front. :)
Add these fun events to good weather, a fantastic 3 hour nap for both Mommy and Caroline yesterday and a light work load for Daddy both days, and I'd say it was a pretty perfect weekend!
