End of Summer Picture Post

The end of summer blew by in a flash! Here are some pictures from the month of August...
My summer girls: Caroline, Julia, and Margaret

This group of kiddos spent a lot of time together this summer: Julia, Michael, Margaret, Big C, and Little C
Caroline checks out the reptile room at the Science Museum of VA.
Julia was more into the bicycle exhibit...
...and Margaret was just relieved to be back outside. It was cold in there!
Some of my favorite moments from the summer are all the walks and bike and scooter rides we took around our neighborhood.
Off to gymnastics camp, looking fine!
We were very good about slathering up with sunscreen this summer.
I love this sweet grin. Caroline during some special one on one time with Mommy.
We ended up at Ft. Cougar.
Caroline was excited to hand around like a monkey.
Julia consumed about 5 watermelons all by herself this summer.
Isabel and Frances absolutely love their new backyard.
We checked the box of the obligatory summer lemonade stand.
Double trouble behind the wheel.
Sweet Margaret at Ft. Cougar.
Two good eggs.
3 happy girls at the Children's Museum.
Ready for another walk - this is how we roll.
Caroline and I cozied up in the hammock to finish her summer reading...just in the nick of time.
Rising 1st grader!
Julia loving some sprinkler time.
Caroline showing off some new kicks for Back to School!

I'd be remiss if I didn't mention that this was the summer of Julia and Frances. These two spent a lot of time together...even if Julia enjoyed that time a lot more than Frances. BFFs!!

Big Canoe 2015

We spent the last week of July visiting Marmee and Grampy at Big Canoe in Georgia. Aunt Allison, Landon, and Sophia joined us there, along with a couple other special friends. We had a blast! It was definitely our best trip to Big Canoe so far as a family of 5.
Julia was VERY excited that the dogs came with us to Big Canoe.
Daddy making himself comfortable in the pool with a drink shortly after arrival.
Did Caroline tame a killer whale?!
All the cousins and Ryleigh in their princess nightgowns.
Margaret was as happy as a clam bobbing around in her life jacket all week.
Lookout below!
The girls in the pool.
Me and Julia sporting some awesome green goggles.
S'mores for dessert!!
Julia logged at least 1,000 nautical miles while we were at Big Canoe. She was constantly in the swimming.
Caroline and Sophia, both age 6.
Check out this throwback - Big Canoe playground, Margaret and Julia at 13 months.

Off to the races at the swim club!!
Big Canoe's latest addition - the Blob and a floating obstacle course!
This picture was taken shortly before the twins freaked out and decided that they did not want to do the obstacle course.
The cousins walking to the rock slide. It's hard to believe I've been walking this path since the mid '80s!
Caroline on her first-ever rock slide trip!
Landon on the rock slide.
The girls taking in the view atop the dam.
Landon and his baconator omlet!
Margaret and the giant ice cream cone.
My three girls out for a Big Canoe stroll.
Daddy and his mini-me.
We took the big girls shopping at the outlet mall. They hit up the Off 5th Shoe department like pros!
Big Canoe's best view - at Lake Sconti Clubhouse.
Love these two.
Isabel really enjoyed the food at Big Canoe...
...and Frances loved her accommodations.
Before we knew it, our vacation was over! Good bye picture with the girl cousins.
