Spring Break??

As a child, teenager, and young adult, I spent many a Spring Break visiting fabulous Caribbean destinations with my family, soaking up the sun and enjoying a carefree vacation from my everyday life. Fast forward about 10 years, two dogs, and three kids later, and my Spring Break looks a whole lot different! Now it means a week of no preschool (plus the unfortunate timing of our part time nanny being on Spring Break too), no vacation, and a whole lot of panic about how on earth we're going to fill our time.
Thankfully, the week has been just fine so far. Over the weekend we hit up the playground, and yesterday we joined our friends Wingrove, Ashby, Claire and Austin at the children's museum and successfully went out to lunch afterwards (7 kids in all!). Today we spent a lot of time at Westwood, with Mommy getting her booty kicked in exercise class and the girls enjoying their Big Sister, Little Sister class and then lunch upstairs at the "fancy tables" (as Caroline calls them). Later this week we have more play dates with friends, and every day Caroline has swimming lessons. It's certainly no tropical getaway, but this Spring Break isn't so bad!

Trying with all her might to climb to the top of the jungle gym.
Margaret insisted on wearing her tutu to the playground.
On the go with Julia!
Margaret always wants to travel with a snack - and she wants to take the whole container!
M and J horsing around on the couch.
Hug!
Kiss!
Do YOU want a kiss??
Just because we're not somewhere warm, doesn't mean I can't wear my swimsuit!

Margaret latest obsession...brushing her teeth.

Caroline ready to take the plunge!
Julia loves watching the swimmers.
Caroline has taken to wearing her swimsuit in the tub now.

And We're BACK!

Whew! That was a loooong break from posting for me! I blame it all on Noah's Children (and I mean that in the best way possible).  The gala was a HUGE success! We grossed over $90,000 from our auction that night and including sponsorships and ticket sales, we helped raise about $300,000 in all for Noah's Children. It was an amazing event,  and I'm so proud of all that we accomplished. But, boy, am I tired! It's taken a good two weeks to reclaim my life and not go into a full panic when I haven't checked my email in the last 30 seconds.
I make no promises, but hopefully I will be more regular in the posting from now on. Here's a look at some of the things my trio of girls have been up to lately...
Paul and me before the Noah's Children Gala
Daddy read Caroline this book before bedtime one night and the first thing she requested the next morning was "green eggs and ham!" We were out of ham, but green eggs were made to order!!
Happy Valentine's Day pancakes!

Julia was looking for something a little more exotic to eat on her Valentine's Day...
Yes, she's leaning in for dog food and yes,  I'm taking pictures instead of stopping her.
Hey, this tastes pretty good...
...I missed a piece on the floor.

Round two, false start by Julia.
Poor Caroline missed these races...she had a stomach bug.
And now for the stroller races!

We're off!

Julia's latest obsession: MUST BRING MY PRESCHOOL BAG (and usually wear my bunny slippers) EVERYWHERE!

Busy Bees

Our girls have been so busy lately! School, activities, play dates with friends and play time with each other have been helping us beat the winter weather blues and the few colds/ear infections that have plagued us recently. And with Mommy just about finished with her Noah's work, we are all in a little better mood these days ;-)
Lots of pictures to share...
